You can see pics and read quotes from last year's convention by using the 'Past Conventions' link to the left.

If you have any questions about being a vendor, please direct them to Keith Frye at info@travellercon-usa.com. He will be able to discuss vendor space and such with you.

Thanks!

you should have a link to pictures from last years show, so people who find there way in here can see what it was like last year and what they might be able to expect this year. maybe even a floor layout of were things will be such as the vendors and the gaming tables.

Megan,

How about putting a link from the front forum page back to the main Con page?

On most boards of this type you have to go in and edit the forum code to make that type of change. Not sure how that works on activeboard, I have no experience with it.

That seems to be a little more difficult. I can't seem to find the option to change the position of the advance to the next topic. I noticed when you click on the second "Travellercon/USA" link (below List all Users) it takes you back to the topic list. I'll keep hunting.biggrin.gif

Actually, you changed the forum default from "Oldest First" to "Newest First". The feature can be set by you for the whole forum, each user can change it in his own settings, or on any given page you can select using the dropbox at the bottom.

What Glenn was asking, I believe, is to move that dropbox to the top of the screen, so it's easier to change from thread to thread. Not sure why he wants that, but he likely has his reasons.

Me, I have it set in my user profiles to be oldest first, as that's how I prefer it.

This is really looking good.  I do have one suggestion:
There is a selection at the bottom where the user can order the postings in newest first or oldest first (the settings default to oldest first).  To get to it you have to scroll through all the old entries, change it, then scroll back to the top.  If we had the selection at the top, it would make it a bit easier to change the ordering of the entries.

I'd have to agree with Glenn - I'd rather have t-shirts than polo shirts.

I am good with T-Shirts...I don't play golf, so what do I need with a polo shirt. But really, it doesn't matter to me that much. Just don't get a wimpy Vilani pastel colors. The shirts should be in strong, bold, Solomani colors!!!

yes I was joking wink.gif

and I agree about the ideas from the membership...I didn't have any definite info on the polo/tshirt prices yet...

So, question, do we want just polos or tshirts and polos? Thoughts?

I know you're jokingbiggrin.gifthough I'm thinking that some shirt ideas from the membership wouldn't go amiss. teamwork.gif

We talked about a polo shirt motif last year - are people more interested in tee-shirts?

I really liked the T-shirts from last year. Are you planning to do some for 2008? What do you think about a design contest?

One more thing: Megan, the 2007 Con Photos page opens very slowly. The reason for that is the images are all full size, not actual thumbnails. So even though they look small on the screen, it still loads the whole huge image. I suggest you make some small thumbnails to use for that.

OBTW, you guys misspelled my name on the quotes page. Not only that, you've successfully misspelled both my first and my last name. :)

It's Juliean Galak.

Yeah, well. I've got plot that needs to be run. I played all last year, I'll GM this year. Hopefully it'll work.

I wrote this stuff to run at other cons (Ubercon and Anonycon), thinking in terms of promoting Travellercon, but I didn't get registered early enough to do so.

Hi Julian,

Pricing is under review - if you remember the end-of-convention discussion, there was some talk of raising the registration fee a few dollars. We're going to discuss this amongst ourselves before making any changes.

Don't let this stop you from planning for October, though. The only caveat I can think of is three sessions doesn't leave a lot of playing time - I found that out last year.weirdface.gif

Julian...

Thank you for noticing that...I had to figure out which text type it was and with the red/white/black scheme I had to make sure I picked a color which shows up on all of them...which is why it's red now...

PLEASE let me know if you run across anything else...this is the 'bug stompin' time smile.gif

Thanks! (and welcome smile.gif)
Megan

So, first off, FIRST POST!  :)

Second, I'm really glad that you guys put up the forum.  Great Idea.  Glad I thought of it.  :)

Third, are you aware that the "new topic" link is invisible?  I spent several minutes searching for it.  If it's visible for you, it might be my end.  I'm using Mozilla on XP.

Finally, when are the prices going to be up?  I want to register and I'd like to GM some adventures - I'm thinking a set of 3, loosely connected modules (players can do all 3 as a mini-campaign, or any one or 2 as separate adventures).  Each one would need a 4 hour slot.  The system would be GT.  Let me know what I need to do to get you more info.
